Disabled Adaptations

Our award winning disabled adaptations programme is amongst the strongest in the UK. 

Our expertise in this area has been formally recognised through the National Housing Federation’s Neighbourhood Awards, when we helped our client win the regional and overall awards for its ‘Project Independent Living’.

Project Independent Living aims to improve the quality of life for people with mobility issues. The programme has helped cut waiting times for adaptations from up to 12 months to just seven days, with major adaptations now usually completed within around three months rather than approximately two years. In partnership with the local authority and SSHA, we now deliver major adaptations for approximately £4,200 each as opposed to £7,000 previously - resulting in a 40% reduction in costs for our client.

The programme has been a phenomenal success, and since PIL began we've been able to help over 1000 people lead more independent lives in their own homes.
