Happy Tenants Behind New Doors In Wolverhampton

Bushbury Hill Estate Management Board, together with Property Care, has made 100 tenants in Wolverhampton safer, warmer and happier - by simply fitting their homes with a new front door.

As an addition to the Decent Homes programme, Bushbury Hill Estate Management Board asked property repair and maintenance company, Property Care to carry out the refurbishment works to the homes to continue to improve security and heat insulation for tenants.

Not only do the doors provide a smarter and cleaner look on the estate but they’re also British Standard fire and smoke resistant.

Karen Williams, chief officer of Bushbury Hill Estate Management Board, comments: “The door replacement project was undertaken to replace doors that had not been done under the Decent Homes programme. All our properties now have new front doors which are stronger, more attractive and easier to maintain.

“Tenants were given a choice of style and colour as part of the process, which Property Care carried out with professionalism, causing minimal mess and disruption to the satisfaction of us and our tenants.”

Property Care works in partnership with Bushbury Hill Estate Management Board to carry out refurbishments, responsive repairs and programmed works to its 840 homes across the Bushbury Hill estate.

Property Care recently helped Bushbury Hill Estate Management to achieve top quartile satisfaction in its first STATUS survey in 2010.
